Comedy has always been a serious business for Alastair. Many of his acting roles and corporate characters – for example Charlie Chaplin – are comedic in nature. Alastair is active on the stand-up comedy circuit and has twice been a state finalist in Triple J Raw Comedy. He has worked extensively with international audiences and non-English speaking crowds and his physical comedy skills are finely tuned. He was picked from hundreds of impersonators worldwide to play Charlie Chaplin for a long running Japanese TV commercial, with approval from the Chaplin estate.
Alastair’s comedy skills are utilised regularly with his Theatrepsorts and impro’ theatre shows, and also in his corporate entertainment packages.
Alastair is a collector of seriously bad album covers from the 1960’s and 1970’s – his collection can be seen on the popular ABC show Spicks and Specks.
